Hi, I'm Ann

I'm Ann, an obsessive reader of books and writer of words.

With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida,and a creative writing minor, I have a great foundation in understanding the human mind and crafting engaging stories.  I hold a Master's in Education (M.Ed) in School Counseling and Guidance, as well as an Education Specialist degree (Ed.S), both earned from the University of Florida.

I'm not only passionate about reading but also highly competitive. I challenge myself to read a minimum of 100  books, and in 2025, I read 170.  I By immersing myself in a wide range of genres, I bring a well-rounded perspective to each new read. While I appreciate various genres, my personal favorites include horror, psychological thrillers, contemporary romance, YA,  science-fiction, and anything you'd described as "weird."

As an active member of SCBWI, I writer for children and young adults and freelance as a writer for hire in the edcational publishing industry.  engage in numerous discussions and continuously discover exceptional literary works in unexpected places. You can find my reviews predominantly in written format on this site, as well as popular platforms such as Goodreads, NetGalley, and consumer sites like Amazon. I guarantee thoughtful reviews for every book I commit to reading.
