⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

The Fortune Flip is a delightful novel, about love, luck, identity, confidence, and claw machines. I am absolutely enamored with the main characters, and would recommend this book wildly! A super cute romance—that’s also just a great story

—about Hazel, an almost thirty-year-old woman who just lost her job and has always had the worst luck, and Logan, a cat owning lucky man who Hazel meets, accidentally swaps luck with, and also wins the lottery with.

Hazel is a great character with a lot of depth and relatability. She’s clearly been through a lot and had to grow up quickly, she lost her mom at a younger age and her dad has been gambling the family money away since. At the beginning of this novel, she’s seemingly lost everything, job, marriage, (even her mom’s bracelet!) and turns to a fortune teller for some guidance, which she is already very skeptical about. This is where she meets Logan and his cat, and their lives intertwine so quickly.

Soon, Logan’s luck seems to be gone, and Hazel’s seems better, but everything is different. It’s great fun and equal parts messy and heartwarming.

My favorite part was just watching Hazel’s journey of self discovery as she finds a new job, new luck, new possible romance, and new voice. This book is such a great testament to the years of change most of us through in that time of our lives, and it’s a super fast read.

Thank you so much to BookSparks for the gifted copy, as well as author Laura Kung Jessen, who has won my heart for life 🧡
