The Undergrads: Student Union by Julie Murphy
Audiobook Narrators: Heather Firth, Robert Hatchet
This is a super swoon-worthy new adult romance novel about childhood friends who find themselves in a marriage of convenience at college. Clover and Bennett grew up together, and had a falling out in high school.
To afford college, Clover needs to be able to live in married housing, which means she needs a husband. Since Bennett owes her after betraying her trust in high school and ending their friendship, he agrees to do her the favor. Being married, especially in a marriage of convenience, in a college dorm is a great premise, and the two main characters histories only add to it.
If you love a good childhood friend love story, look no farther! There’s definitely some open door steamy scenes and a lot of yearning. I listened to this audio book and both narrators, Heather Firth and Robert Hatchet, really captured the unique voice Julie Murphy gives both characters. I really loved each character and rooted for them!
Can’t wait to see more in this series from Julie Murphy (book 2 out in December!) who’s influencer team I’m now lucky enough to be a part of. Thanks to MacMillian Audio and Balzar + Bray for the ALC and ARC! This book came out today and it’s delightful.
